The Republic of Macedonia has launched a „MicroLearning Center of Excellence for Administration Reform“ to support its efforts in reforming the public administration sector.
The project is led by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration and carried out in close cooperation with RSA FG and the German GIZ (Gesellschaft für international Zusammenarbeit GmbH). The goal is to take advantage of the MicroLearning approach for training and vocational education of public and civil servants.

The MicroLearning Center of Excellence in Macedonia was inaugurated at a press reception in Skopje’s City Hall Center on the 17th of April. The Minister for Information Society and Administration, Mister Ivo Ivanovski, addressed selected representatives of the administration, the public and journalists, stressing the importance of training through MicroLearning for the public administration reform.

The aim of the Micro Learning Center of Excellence is to support the implementation of administrative reform in Macedonia with the innovative approach of micro learning. The contribution of the RSA FG is technical and educational expertise and research and evaluation skills. Under the collaboration, the latest generation of the KnowledgePulse Microlearning software is implemented in the Ministry.

Following the press reception several workshops were held by RSA FG. Within these workshops participants from selected ministries and governmental institutions learned about the MicroLearning approach and developed strategic and organizational plans for the first phase of the project. In May 2012 three researchers from RSA FG will return to Skopje for consultation of the Ministry and training of selected civil servants as content authors and training managers.
