Pioneer in apprenticeship training and staff training – using the e-learning application “KnowledgePulse®” of the Research Studios Austria

In the framework of the Tyrol-day at the sixth international Microlearning conference in Innsbruck,  Tyrolean companies reported on their success in applying microlearning with PC and mobile phone. The “MPREIS Warenvertriebs GmbH” and “Physiotherm GmbH Thaur/Innsbruck” presented the successful deployment of the KnowledgePulse®, developed by the Research Studio MicroLearning & Information Environments, in apprenticeship training and staff training.

The KnowledgePulse – an application for smartphones, tablets and computers to improve the efficiency and sustainability of knowledge based on time and location independent, small learning units – is based on the development of integrated micro-learning, which provides a measurable improvement in learning and knowledge output of individuals and organizations.

For the CEO Christoph Bader from Innsbruck Micro Training GmbH micro-learning approach is even basic for his own company: “The KnowledgePulse is an optimal instrument of the modern personal development for employees on the way from generalists to specialists,” says Bader. The expert on human resource development sees the use of the Knowledge Pulse particularly in the service industry to provide optimum support for developing the current educational content.

At the Tyrol-Day the current state of the KnowledgePulse® was introduced, and the new apps and features for enterprises had been presented in a live demo. From the perspective of division chairman for Information and Consulting of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce,  Christoph Holz, In terms of Tyrol as the fourth largest IT cluster in Austria, information technology and learning are together.

The Research Studios Austria FG is a longstanding member of the cluster “information technologies Tyrol”, a part of the “Standortagentur Tirol”. The Tyrol was supported also in 2012 by the “Standortagentur Tirol”.
