
Martin completed his studies in 1977 with a Graduate Degree in Education at Mainz University. Then he worked for ten years in various projects on school innovation and teacher education. The next twenty years he was a consultant, researcher, and facilitator in Strategic Planning, Project Management and a Specialist in the private SME sector. He conducted research, monitoring, and evaluation in Small and Medium Enterprises. Since 2010 he has been working in lifelong learning projects at Graz University of Technology. His focus is on evaluation, educational data mining, learning analytics, and knowledge space.
